Google Reveals Why Sites are BANNED & REINCLUDED

Google: Why Sites are Banned and Reincluded

Google Banning and Reinclusion: The Facts

www.mattcutts.com/blog/reinclusion-request-howto/

There are other sides to this issue:
1)- Hidden Text / Cloaking: Hidden text is perfectly Valid under SOME circumstances….
a)- Google is NOT using Meta Keywords - there must be a way for webmasters to optimize for Misspellings

http://www.highrankings.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=290
you can NOT use them in the TITLE nor Meta Description nor Body Text (people can SEE them!) - and ALT Tags are not really preferable
b)- Concept Searching has not reached SE maturity…You have to optimize for Synonyms and “Form” (the ~ just isn’t being used by the casual surfer)
c)- Bitmapped or JavaScipt TEXT…..If you are using one big huge FLASH image - or- Graphic Oriented site -or- Java Applets - you might use hidden text for the Search Engines. Why should a Webmaster have to make a choice between Aesthetics and SERPs!
d)- Remember the Google Cloaking Controversy…Title tags are valuable real estate, there ARE practical, intelligent reasons for treating TECHNOLOGY differently from HUMANS (just don’t abuse)

2) - JavaScript Redirects are SOMETIMES VALID…
a)- New Domains - but the older Domain is still getting traffic.
b)- Aesthetics and User Interface - some JavaScipt and DHTML INTROs - actually Flash color Transitions then Redirect -others use Country or other Information about the Visitor to Redirect.

http://javascript.internet.com/navigation/
c)- Doorway Pages - For the same reasons some people use Hidden Text - Some may choose Doorway Pages.

3)- Automated Links - are sometimes valid…
a) If not taken to extreme - non HTML Savy site owners - should have a way to exchange links - some people have NO tech knowlege and should be allowed to participate in a “support group” of sorts for mutually agreed link exchanges - Again, don’t penalyze the moderates for the behaviour of the Extremes!

Miscellaneous Points: (Why SOME people resort to techniques)
— Small Webmasters can NOT hope to compete with the Giants who can BUY TOP sponsor links - or who have dedicated PR or Advertising firms.
— There are NO EXCUSES to have Sponsor Links ABOVE the Organic SERPs- in the case of ASK Jeeves they use to have 10 - yes 10 - sponsor links that were indetectable from the natural listings- Yahoo and all of its properties “BLEND” the look of their sponsor links - Remember how MSN used to be - you could have PAGES of Looksmart before getting to their “Natural” SERPs.- Google now adds Three Sponsor Links on TOP . Please, place all the Advertisers where they belong - perhaps you could give the highest paying ones (sponsor) a GRAPHIC or a wider Box E.G.Do a quick search with This tool for “Search Engine Optimization”:
http://www.mrsapo.com/

How can AMAZON possible come up “Organically” on virually EVERY search for a Product of Service on Google…

Given the inherent inequities of Link Popularity - can you really expect Busy Sites Owners - to not strive for strategies

One Last Point:
In the case of BANNING - let us make an analogy -Look at the current Ongoing LAWSUITS Google is involved in(not the frivolous ones)BOTH parties feel they have been violated - everyone feels their side is RIGHT - Now, just supposed the judge put a STOP or HALT to Google - UNTIL, the cases was decided or resolved? - that is what Banning is in essence). You change/tweak the Algos so that the objectionable strategies are useless - but you DON’T BAN the valid information from reaching and being used the Public.
